By the Sea Shore

This picture was taken on our fieldtrip of the North Sea. It was on a little beach and it was really nice out. I like the color of the sky and the motion of the water it is so relaxing just looking at it. Every time I look at it takes me back to standing on the shore.

Hampton Court

This is a picture taken at Hampton Court in London. The castle was so pretty; it was made of brownish red bricks. I thought it was much warmer and homey with the lighter colored bricks verses the traditional gray stone. I like this picture the grass is so nice and perfect with the beautiful building.

Horse
This picture was taken of my favorite statue in London. I loved all the pictures I took of it. I love how the light shows beaming in the backgroud with the horse almost seeming to land on top of you. I really like the picture and the amazing details the statue had.

Lonely Man

I found this old man sitting alone on a bench and just had to take a picture of him. I love how him facing to the left makes your eye lead to the left. I always like my people picture to be in black and white becuase I feel like its more classic and like a moment frozen in time. It makes it timely to me pretty much.
Mary's little lamb

This picture was taken at the farm we visited on our fieldtrip. I'm a total animal lover and so I was completely at home at the farm. Everything was so cute I just wanted to hold all the baby lambs. I was sad that we didn't get to see a lamb being born though.

Planet HollywoodThis a picture taken of the Planet Hollywood resterant in London. I was walking down the street at night looking for a place to go out when I came across this. I liked how the sign was reflected onto the car. I think its a cool picture and even though it was taken at night everthing showed up really well.
Colored Flowers

This picture was taken of the flowers in the picnic area. I put them into Adobe photoshop and put it through the colored pencil filter. I think that it turned out really cool, to me it looks like it belongs in a kids book or something. I'm glad I took the picture and everyone who has seen it has liked it too.

Family on the go

This little family was stolling around the castle. I love family shots I think that they are so cute. Showing them in motion I think defines a family in that a family is always on the move always changing. I really like this picture I think it has a good hidden meaning.

Arch

As many of my pervious pictures this was taken on our fieldtrip. This is of a wall at the priory where you walk in. I think the angle adds height to the wall and makes the building appear taller. I really liked all the detail on the arches; I thought it was really pretty.

Stairs I took this high angle shot on a stairwell on the wall of the castle. I think it has a interesting angle in that you maybe would look down the stairs in this direction. You would normally look straight down verses sideways. I also like the stripes added from the shodow from the railing.

Cathedral View
This was the view atop St. Paul's Cathedral, you can see the London bridge and London eye. I think the photo captures the congestion and hugeness of the city of London. I think the view from the top was worth the 500 steps it took to get there. I wanted to show this picture because my sweat and thighs went into getting it, and it burned.

Not So Big Ben
When I first saw Big Ben I was a little disappointed because for some reason I though it was much bigger but I was impressed in the detail and how ornate it was. It's just a little sad that it wasn't how I had pictured it, but I still like the picture I took of it after we had finished our tour of parliament. I mean who could go home after being in London and not get a picture of Big Ben.
Horse Power
This picture was taken at a fountain in London. I love horses so the fountain was very interesting to me. I like that angle I got which gives you the feeling of being under the horse whiles its rearing. The spotlights in the back give it a little extra intense affect as well. I really like how the the picture turned out so I wanted to include it.

Brotherly Love

I took this picture in the Gardens of two young boys that were running through the bamboo maze. I took the picture in black and white because I thought that it gave the picture an old classic feel. I feel like this is a moment frozen in time of two brothers playing and it brings me back to my childhood playing with my sister.

Mighty Squirrel
This extremely brave squirrel I found in London. I was amazed that the squirrel would actually come eat right out of your hand but then I saw that it had blue eyes and its possible that the squirrel could be blind. I really like squirrels and so I wanted to include this picture plus I think it makes for a good story.
The Rouge At Night

I was so extremely excited to see the Moulin Rouge because it's one of my favorite movies of all time. This picture was taken right after I got my tattoo in Paris which didn't turn out the greatest. I love this picture because the content of it holds a place in my heart and I had to include it in my blog for that reason.

Purple Bamboo

I was playing around with my camera trying to figure out all its settings and noticed I have a negative setting. I took this picture in the bamboo maze I really like how it turned out everything seems to glow. I also think it gives a new way of looking at bamboo that you maybe wouldn't have seen before, I mean who has seen purple bamboo?

FountainI love the giant fountain in the gardens I can't help but stare at it every time I go to the gardens. The motion of the water in the fountain is almost hypnotizing to me so I love to sit and watch it. It is probably my favorite feature at the gardens.

Growing Vines

I took many pictures at the gardens but this so far has been my very favorite. These vines waves and encircled this pole; which gives me a twisted constricted feeling. I think the black and white adds to the dramatic feel you may receive from the picture. Whenever I see vines and thorns I automatically think of Jesus so this kind of represents my faith as well.

Rail
This is a guard rail that keeps you from falling in the fountain. The rail is only a little over a foot tall but I feel the high angle makes it harder to determine how tall the rail really is. It gives you a new look on something you may have not noticed before.

week 7

Eiffel Tower
This is the view I got from half way up the Eiffel Tower. I love the pattern of the grass and how it shows the hassle and bustle of the city of Paris. I think the picture is a blurry but not bad. The view was great and I loved the city of Paris.I expected this building to be a little bigger, but I still thought it was a beautiful building and I love the circular window in the middle. This was my favorite picture of all the pictures I took of notredame.

Crazy Horse

I'm a total horse lover so if I see anything that has to do with horses I take a picture of it. This horse was in the White Tower in london. It has a bit of a different look than any of the other horses a little wild. So I thought that to be very interesting.

Eiffel dancer

There was a group in front of the Eiffel tower dancing and break dancing .It was really cool watching them with the Eiffel in the background so I thought it made for a very interesting shot. They were pretty good dancers and it was fun watching them.

Miss Swan

I was walking through the park in London and was amazed at how close all the animals would come to you. This swan strolled up next to me , I really like swans so I just had to take a picture . I think that its a good composition and is by far my favorite picture of the week.

Night Time

While walking through Piccadilly circus I noticed this beautifully lite building. I love all the colors in the picture and how it glows in the night. I know its a little fuzzy but I think it adds to it and I like the shot.

Twisted Paris

i liked this shot of the Eiffel tower but it was a little fuzzy so I thought about how to use that as my advantage so I used a filter in Adobe and I like how it turned out it gives a different less solid feeling to the shot and gives it some interest.

Double Decker Ghost
After trying to take a picture of a double decker in motion this is the super cool shot I got. They were moving so fast that they look transparent. I think its a really cool shot and a little Eire. You can just make out what it is, so it makes you look harder.

Rise Up

As you could probably tell I loved the Eiffel Tower I thought it was so cool and beautiful. I like how the low angle gives it a very tall look even thought the tower is really is very tall. I just really liked a lot of my shots of the tower and wanted to used shots I liked more than shots that were just ok.

High Above London
After climbing around 500 steps to get to the top of St. Paul's cathedral I was tired but the view made up for the burning sensation in my legs. This was looking down on part of the cathedral and part of the grand City of London. This shot took more effort and energy to get than any other.

week 6

The coast

This is a picture I took on the coast of Ireland. The waves drifting onto the shore is may favorite part and I like how the land slopes into the water. I'm jealous of the people that get to live in this beautiful place.

Church window

In Ireland I tool this picture of a church that was in one of the towns we visited. I purposely cropped off the top and bottom of the church because I wanted more focus on the window in the middle above the door. I like how this picture is a little different in that not many maybe wouldn't have thought of taking the picture in this way.

Super Manikin
I found this crazy fun manikin in Dublin while I was walking down the strip. I have never seen such a cool manikin with so many things on it before. I pick this picture because every time I see this picture it makes me laugh and I think its a good still life that will brighten your day.

Guitars

As I was walking along in Dublin there were many street performers including this pair. They were very good and I really liked their music. I wanted to take the picture so that I would remember once of my favorite street acts from Dublin. I think it's a good people picture and I like it very much.

Prickly

On our way up to the park I noticed this prickly little bush. I took a picture because I thought it was different and interesting not just a flower or a tree, and I think it kind of goes back to size isn't everything because this was a little bush yet it would hurt you a lot more than a tree..

14 lost
In Derry we went on a tour and as the sun set this was our last stop. A monument dedicated to the 14 catholics that died on bloody Sunday. This monument was surrounded by flowers and was a good ending to our tour.

Cool flowers

I found these little flowers in the park; I thought it was interesting that they hung down but thats just how they grew. I thought they almost looked depressed so I changed the picture into cool colors to emphasize this.

The creek
This is a picture of a little creek on my walk home. I think you can really see the motion of the creek and the picture is clean and simple.

Old Window

This is an old window from the monastery we visited. I think that the angle make the window appear much higher and longer that it really was. I liked the shape of the window and thought to myself why don't we make pretty shaped windows anymore they are all just boring and rectangle or square.

Monk?
I'm not sure if this is suppose to be a statue of a monk but I thought that it was interesting and the high angle makes the statue seem compressed and small when really it was about the same height as me. This was my favorite picture of all the high angle shots I took.

week 5

Light From Heaven

Ireland is a beautiful place and walking along the coast I couldn't stop taking pictures. I really like this picture because its more of a silhouette of the hills and rocky coast. I think it has a dream like feeling.

Little Chapel
This cute little chaple I found in Irleand. A famous poet was buried at the church. I liked how classic the little church was but I wish I could have gotten a picture without anyother people in the shot.

Hey Fungie

Fungie is a famous lone dolphin in a small little town in Ireland. This is a statue of him that they have in their sqaure. I like the angle I got on him, I think it makes him look really long and gives a lot of depth.

Mirror Image

I was walking in Dublin when I came upon these people. I thought it was a funny picture and I really like how it turned out. It's almost like the couple is mirroring the statue.

Face in the Rocks
We were on a tour and the driver showed us this rock formation. Can you see the face thats in the rocks? I like how the picture turned out like how its a little fuzzy and almost mystical.

Dusk in Derry
I took this picture while on a tour of Derry. It while the sun was almost set. I like how you can almost make out the town and the sky is a pretty orange. You can just make the hills in the distance.

Western Sunset
While driving in the late afternoon I took this picture. I added the sepia tone and it gives it a western feel to me. I think the sun reflecting of the water was really pretty and I love the picture.

Motion of the Ocean
While standing off one of the many cliffs on Irelands coast I captured the crashing and swirling of the waves off the rocks. I think you can really feeling the movement in the ocean.

Reach to the Heavens
Known to the locals in Dublin as the "steleto in the ghetto," this spire is located in the middle of Dublins main shopping street. The spire was very tall but I also think that the low angle makes it seem like it never ends.

Dont Look Down
I took this picture from the top of the tower looking down to the ground I think that it is a good high angle shot because it's almost completely looking straight down but not quite. I feel the picture gives the illusion that you are extremely high! higher than what we really were.
